The turn of the year brought a flurry of buyers to the Ampertaine herd for new stock bulls, with a total of four bulls selling this month.

Leading the way was Ampertaine Gallant, sired by Baillea Bullion he is out of Ampertaine Clarabelle, an Abracadabra daughter and was bought by Stephen McGeown for the Carabay herd, Downpatrick.

Next to sell was Ampertaine Gambit, a Cloughhead Umpire son out of a Cloughhead Lord daughter. He was bought by William Lyttle, Cookstown.

Following that we sold Ampertaine Gino to John Haslett, Dungiven. Gino is a son of 35,000gns bull Plumtree Deus and out of a Pelletstown Ken daughter.

And the last bull sold this month was Ampertaine Giovani which sold to Thomas Taylor, Ballymoney. He is sired by  50,000gns bull Wilodge Cerberus and is out of a Nenuphar daughter.
