The Ampetaine certainly enjoyed a successful few days in Carlisle for the official May sale of Limousins under judge Martin Irvine of the Anside herd. Having won his class, Ampertaine Hotshot then went on to take the reserve intermediate championship. This September 2012-born bull is by the Glenrock Ventura son Ampertaine Elgin and is out of the Sympa daughter Ampertaine Angelina. This family has been synonymous with high priced bulls including the 29,000gns Ampertaine Abracadabra, the 11,000gns Ampertaine Hallmark and the 7200gns Ampertaine Colorado. Hotshot carries a beef value of +36 and sold to Procters Farm.
We then sold the second placed Ampertaine Hydro, a September 2012-born Bailea Bullion son out of the Cockleshell Olympus daughter Ampertaine Utopia. With a beef value of +32, this one is half brother to Ampertaine Goldwing who sold for 6600gns in Carlisle in October 2012. Buyer here was F and M P Allinson, Barnard Castle, co Durham.
At 6500gns was the first place Ampertaine Horby, a Cloughhead Ernie son out of the Clpughhead Lord daughter Kype Unigold. This one carries a beef value of +38 and found a new home with Peter Alexander, Blairgowrie, Perthshire.
Our youngest bull in the team and second to youngest bull in the catalogue Ampertaine Icon found a new home when selling at 4200gns to J Brown and Sons, Workington, Cumbria. This is a Carmorn Copilot son out of the Sympa daughter Ampertaine Barbie, herself a full sister to the 8500gns Ampertaine Dictator.
We’d like to wish all the buyers of Ampertaine bulls from Carlisle the very best with their purchases and we look forward to hearing how their progeny perform in the future.
